Actor Dennis Quaid is planning to vote for former President Donald Trump, citing the “weaponization of our justice system” he sees under President Joe Biden.
Speaking to journalist Piers Morgan on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” Tuesday night, the actor was asked, “What do you think of Trump?”
“I think I’m going to vote for him,” Quaid responded.
Morgan asked, “Are you ready for the blowback?”
“Well… it just seems to make sense,” Quaid said.
He explained he was “ready not to vote for Trump” at first.

However, he shared what changed his mind:
“What I see is more than politics. I see a weaponization of our justice system and a challenge to our Constitution.”
He added, “You know, Trump is the most investigated person probably in the history of the world and they haven’t been able to really get him on anything. People might call him an a**hole, but he’s my a**hole.”
Trump is currently facing 91 felony counts stemming from four different cases. The first and only trial that is likely to be concluded before the election involves hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels made ahead of the 2016 election. The jury in that case is set to begin deliberations today.
While Quaid expressed support for Trump, on Tuesday, liberal actor Robert De Niro attended an event hosted by the Biden campaign outside the courthouse where Trump’s trial was playing out.
De Niro claimed that the only way to “preserve our freedoms and hold onto our humanity is to vote for Joe Biden for president.”
