President Joe Biden’s campaign is using his main political rival’s conviction in a criminal court as a political attack line.
The Biden campaign released on a new targeting former President Donald Trump as a convicted felon.
“In the courtroom, we see Donald Trump for who he is,” a narrator states. “He’s been convicted of 34 felonies, found liable for sexual assault, and he committed financial fraud.”
It adds, “Meanwhile, Joe Biden’s been working, lowering healthcare costs, and making big corporations pay their fair share.”
“This election is between a convicted criminal who’s only out for himself and a president who’s fighting for your family,” the narrator concludes.

Last month, Trump was found guilty on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in an attempt to cover up a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 election.
Conservatives have criticized the case and alleged it was an example of selective prosecution against Trump.
Additionally, they have took issue with the legal theory of the case which bumped the charges up from misdemeanors to felonies on the basis that business records were falsified in furtherance of another crime. And while the prosecution did not precisely make clear what the other crime was, it argued the falsification was done in furtherance of a campaign finance violation in closing arguments.
Trump called the verdict the result of a “rigged disgraceful trial.”
However, an ABC News/Ipsos poll found 50% of Americans said they believe the decision to find Trump guilty in his hush money trial was correct.
