Grammy Award-winning singer Justin Timberlake was released from police custody after he was arraigned for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
Timberlake, 43, was arrested on suspicion of DWI on Long Island, New York.
He appeared in court on Tuesday and was released after the arrangement, per People.
Timberlake was charged with one count of DWI and two citations — running a stop sign and failure to keep in lane.
An insider told the outlet Timberlake was accompanied by attorney Ed Burke Jr. and two other individuals at the arraignment.
He was handcuffed “with his hands in front of him.
“He did seem a bit upset,” the source told People. “Jessica [Biel, [his wife] was not with him.”
A representative for the Sag Harbor Police Department released a statement on the matter.
“On June 18, 2024, at 12:37 AM, Justin R. Timberlake, age 43, of Tennessee, was observed operating a 2025 BMW southbound on Madison Street, failing to stop at a duly posted stop sign and failing to maintain his lane of travel. A traffic stop was initiated by a Police Officer from the Sag Harbor Village Police Department and upon investigation it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition,” according to the statement.
“Mr. Timberlake was placed under arrest, processed, and held overnight for morning arraignment. Mr. Timberlake was arraigned at the Sag Harbor Village Justice Court on June 18, 2024, at 9:30 AM where he was released on his own recognizance,” per the statement.
Timberlake due in court July 26.
Another source told People Timberlake was arrested after dinner at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor.
Timberlake is currently on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour to support his latest album, Everything I Thought It Was.
His next concert is set for June 21 and June 22 at Chicago’s United Center.
