President Joe Biden is being criticized for doubting whether there will be a peaceful transfer of power, even though his administration would be a key part of making that happen.

In an interview with CBS News’ Robert Costa, the 46th president was asked if he is confident there will be a “peaceful transfer of power” after the 2024 election.

“If Trump wins, no, I’m not confident at all,” Biden responded at first.

He then corrected himself, “I mean, if Trump loses, I’m not confident at all. He means what he says! We don’t take him seriously. He means all this stuff about if we lose, there’ll be a bloodbath. He’s– have been stolen…”

Biden falsely insisted former President Donald Trump has said there will be violence if he loses in November. FactCheck.org notes that Trump’s “bloodbath” comment was made in reference to the economy and the automobile industry and not actual violence.

Biden added, “Look what they’re trying to do now. In the local election districts where people count the votes? Are electing. They’re putting people in place in states that are– they’re going to count the votes, right?”

What the hell is he talking about? If Trump loses, he will have nothing to do with the transfer of power.

I’m starting to think this guy’s mind is shot. https://t.co/PUnFOkUlnm
