According to former President Donald Trump, he walked away from Tuesday’s debate as the victor.
And while Kamala Harris’ campaign is ready for another debate, Trump claimed that is what losers do.
“She wants it because she lost,” Trump said. “I don’t know. I have to think about it. But if you won the debate, I sort of think maybe I shouldn’t do it. Why should I do another debate? She immediately said we want another debate. That’s… you know what happens when you’re a prizefighter, and you lose? You immediately want a new fight.” Trump said on Fox News.
While Harris is ready to debate again, Trump doesn’t feel it’s necessary.
“I’d be less inclined to because we had a great night, we won the debate, we had a terrible network,” he said per Politico.
Trump criticized debate host ABC News as “the most dishonest news organization.” Moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis fact-checked Trump during the debate, which he called “three to one” and “a rigged deal.”
“It was a rigged deal as I assumed it would be because when you looked the fact they were correcting everything and not correcting with her,” Trump said Wednesday on CNN.
He said his performance was “one of my better debates, maybe my best debate.”
Quentin Fulks, a spokesman for the Harris campaign told CNN on Wednesday that Harris “is open to a debate in October.”
“But if I were Donald Trump,” he said, “I would not want to debate Kamala Harris.”
