Former First Lady Melania Trump opened up about the moments she learned of the two assassination attempts on her husband, former President Donald Trump.
Sitting with “Fox & Friends,” Melania Trump shared details about the events that shook her world.
The first assassination attempt occurred during a rally in mid-July in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Melania Trump recounted the surreal experience of watching it unfold, not live but a few minutes after it happened.
“I ran to the TV and I [rewound] it and I watched it,” she revealed.
She added, “When you see him on the floor, and you don’t know what really happened.”
Watch the video below:
The would-be assassin, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, positioned himself on a rooftop about 130 yards away from the rally, where he fired several shots at the former president. Crooks was shot and killed by a counter-sniper, but not before the bullets grazed Trump’s ear.
Former Pennsylvania fire chief Corey Comperatore was killed, and two rallygoers, David Dutch and James Copenhaven, were injured.
The former First Lady recalled the two assassination attempts as “miracles.”
The second attempt on Trump’s life occurred on Sept. 15, while he was golfing at his West Palm Beach club. Melania Trump was in New York when she learned of the incident, once again through the television.
“As soon as I saw it on television, I called again, and he was OK because Secret Service were great,” she said. “The guys that they were, the team, they were fantastic. And I think both of the events, they were really miracles. If you really think about it, July 13 was a miracle. How… like that much, and he could, you know, he could not be with us.”
