Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) took the stage in Butler, Pennsylvania, to ask an important question.

“Who the hell is running this country right now?” Vance asked at a former President Donald Trump rally held at the same venue as the first assassination attempt against Trump on July 13.

The Republican vice presidential nominee found fault with both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for the federal government’s response to Hurricane Helene that ravaged the southeast, per Fox News.

More than 220 have died as a result of the storm that caused massive  flooding The storm has caused damage in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama.

“Now we’re seeing reports, the deployments of the military and the National Guard are moving at a snail’s pace,” Vance said. “My friends, who the hell is running this country right now? Because it sure isn’t Joe Biden.”

“It sure isn’t Kamala Harris,” Vance said. “The Harris [Biden] administration has given billions of dollars to foreign countries and illegal aliens, but now they swoop in and they promised $750 to American citizens who have lost everything.”

Vance also spoke about the two assassination attempts against Trump — one in Butler, the other in West Palm Beach, Florida, according to CBS News.

Vance continued his narrative that Democratic rhetoric led to the two attempts on Trump’s life.

“And with all the hatred they have spewed at President Trump, it was only a matter of time before somebody tried to kill him,” Vance said. “And that’s exactly what happened, not just here in Butler, Pennsylvania, but just a few weeks later in Florida, three weeks ago, while these guys still go out there and attacking him as a threat to democracy.”

Trump’s son, Eric Trump, and his wife, Lara Trump, co-chair of the Republican National Committee, were also in attendance at Saturday’s rally.

“Donald Trump was made for such a time as this,” Lara Trump said.
