For most people, being on the cover of “Vogue” is something to be celebrated.
However, if the cover features Vice President Kamala Harris, opinions vary.
The Democratic presidential nominee is featured on the digital version of the magazine; singer Billie Eilish is on the cover of print copy.
As the fashion magazine calls Harris a “candidate for our times,” many have posted on X, formerly Twitter, calling out “Vogue” for favoritism, per the Daily Mail.
Some posters pointed out the photo appeared to be edited and gave the 59-year-old candidate a younger appearance.
“Makeup magic plus airbrushing like no one has ever airbrushed,” one user wrote.
“Worst cover “Vogue” has ever produced,” another posted.
Some referred to favoritism over former President Donald Trump.
“Kamala Harris is on the cover of Vogue. #OperationAirBrush. Wondering why Melania or Donald Trump never get a flattering cover, but the dumbest people like Dr Jill and Kamala get covers?” one posted.
“‘Vogue’ is clearly on the team of evil,” one wrote, criticizing the magazine.
Some came out and called out the magazine as propaganda.
“Kamala Harris featured on cover of Vogue in glowing profile: ‘National rescue’ VOGUE IS NOTHING BUT A COMMUNIST PROPAGANDA MAGAZINE,” one post read.
“Vogue has now become Vague,” per another post.
Some criticism was directed at Harris herself.
“Kamala Harris featured on cover of Vogue in glowing profile: ‘National rescue’ The cover will line many bird cages and litter boxes,” per the post. “If your pet is constipated place the cover photo face up.”
