SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly ripped into MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski on Thursday for defending Vice President Kamala Harris following her tense interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier.
Harris, in her first interview with the network, discussed her policy platform on Wednesday evening. On “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Kelly highlighted a moment where Harris pushed back on a clip about Trump on calling his political opponents “the enemy from within,” which Brzezinski later criticized Baier for airing.
“She [Harris] decided to get, once again, to feigned indignation over him allegedly playing the wrong sound bite, as if like Trump didn’t say it and that’s what Brett was trying to get. That’s not at all — he’s trying to get you to respond to his defense. It’s called an opportunity for you, madam, to take a shot at Trump’s defense,” Kelly said.

“She wouldn’t do it, she just feigned indignation and this is their favorite clip over on MS[NBC] this morning, oh, [with] Mika Brzezinski [saying,] ‘Good for her! Bret Baier used to be a respected journalist. He’s a hack! He queued up the wrong —’ That’s not what Trump said. You people are too stupid to live,” Kelly continued. “This is so dumb, you’re so dumb! Either you’re dumb or you’re dishonest I think probably both to be perfectly honest.”
The less-than-30-minute interview between Harris and Baier quickly grew tense, with the vice president pushing back on the Fox host almost immediately when discussing the border. While some political pundits criticized Harris for her lack of detailed responses, Brzezinski defended her on Thursday, calling the interview an “embarrassing, bad-faith effort.”
“It was supposed to give viewers an opportunity to actually hear her plans as president. Instead, as you saw, it almost immediately devolved into an embarrassing, bad-faith effort by a once-respected host to play to an audience of one,” Brzezinski stated on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
After the event, Baier told Fox viewers that not only was Harris late to the scheduled interview, but her staff reportedly cut it short at one point, with Baier noting they were “waving their hands” in an attempt to end the conversation.
