Former President Donald Trump accused Vice President Kamala Harris of running “a campaign of hate” one week before Election Day.
The Republican presidential nominee took to the podium at his Mar-a-Lago estate to talk to his supporters Tuesday and, in large part, talk about his political rival.
“She’s running on a campaign of immoralization and really a campaign of destruction. But really perhaps more than anything else, it’s a campaign of hate. A campaign of absolute hate,” Trump said, as The Hill reported. “I said yesterday that she’s a vessel. She is a vessel. It’s a very big powerful party with smart people…but they’re vicious and they’re perhaps even trying to destroy our country.”
He also referred to the assassination attempts made on his life.
“After two assassination attempts in just over three months, her lies and her slanders are very shameful and really inexcusable,” Trump added
Trump also announced his intent to deal with “criminal gangs and drug cartels” in his administration, per Fox News.
“I’m announcing that for the first time under my administration, we will be seizing the assets of the criminal gangs and drug cartels,” Trump said. “And we will use those assets to create a compensation fund to provide restitution for the victims of migrant crime.”
“And the government will help in the restitution,” he continued. “But something has to be done, and we’re going to get it done.”
The former president also blamed the Biden-Harris administration for “the worst inflation in our lifetime.”
“Half of Americans are saying they’re broke. They have no money. Two thirds say they’re living from paycheck to paycheck,” Trump said. “And that’s a record number. We’ve never had that, to that extent. We’ve never, ever had that. Millions of Americans are lying awake at night, worried about how they will pay their bills because Kamala wrecked their family finances.”
He said Harris has killed the dreams of hard-working Americans.
“She’s got no empathy for the hard-working Americans whose dreams she’s killed, and said recently that there is not one thing that she would do differently from Biden,” Trump said.
“That’s only because she choked. I’m sure she could have come up with a couple of things if she really thought about it, because there’s been so much destruction caused by the Biden administration,” Trump added.
Trump’s speech in Florida came hours before Harris is set to give her “closing argument,” as termed by her campaign, in Washington, D.C.
