A previously undecided Pennsylvania voter named Kim said Tuesday that she voted for former President Donald Trump because she perceives the media as a graver “threat to democracy.”
Trump leads Vice President Kamala Harris by .4% in Pennsylvania, according to the RealClearPolling average. Kim, while appearing on journalist Mark Halperin’s 2WAY platform, said the media’s anti-Trump conduct influenced her decision to cast her ballot for the former president.

“I feel like the media is more of a threat to democracy than Donald Trump, and I truly believe that … I think that they sway information in such a way that it’s insulting to voters, and they really try to drive a narrative,” Kim said. “Not only in politics, I just feel like a lot of what you read and hear about is such that they want people, they wanna grab people and pull them into a false narrative for whatever reason. And I feel like that is more of a threat and I think it’s insulting to people who want information and can make their own decisions.”
“I do feel like the media and their dislike of Trump really, really got to a point for me where I think that also actually helped me vote for Trump in a way to say this isn’t just about Harris and my concern about her as a strong leader and I’m not sure about her conviction, and I don’t see her as courageous as some people do, but at the same time I don’t think the media has been helpful,” she added.
Kim recently participated in a Pennsylvania undecided voter focus group on 2WAY where all eight participants expressed disapproval of Harris, referring to former Trump “as a fascist.” Halperin also said Tuesday that Harris may not secure a single Sun Belt battleground state, meaning she would probably need to sweep Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin to defeat Trump.
Two young pro-choice women said Tuesday on Halperin’s “The Morning Meeting” that they favor Trump due to the media’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and their subsequent distrust of the institution.
