She may be an Oscar-winning actress, but Whoopi Goldberg knows what it’s like to have to work for a living.

Goldberg talked about her having to work on Tuesday’s edition of “The View,” where she is a co-host.

“If I had all the money in the world, I would not be here, OK?” Goldberg said, per Entertainment Weekly.

Goldberg spoke about how the working class struggles financially, which is something she can identify with.

“I appreciate that people are having a hard time. Me, too. I work for a living,” Goldberg said in the hot topic segment of the show.

The panel was discussing how Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) asked her social media followers why they voted for President-elect Donald Trump.

One reason appears to be the economy.

“If I had all the money in the world, I would not be here, OK? So, I’m a working person, you know?” Goldberg said.

“My kid has to feed her family. My great-granddaughter has to be fed by her family. I know it’s hard out there,” the “Ghost” and “Sister Act” actress continued. “I love what [Ocasio-Cortez] did. Yay. We talk to people all the time who say, ‘This is what’s bothering me.’ But, the thing that’s bothering everybody should not be the thing that puts 85 percent of other people in danger. I think that’s what we’re saying.”

Other than original panelist Joy Behar, Goldberg is the longest-running permanent co-host. She joined the program in 2007.
