President-elect Donald Trump has been called many things throughout the years.
But actor Sylvester Stallone may just be the first to refer to Trump as the “second George Washington.”
Trump received the new moniker when Stallone introduced him at the America First Policy Institute (AFPI) Gala Thursday night at Mar-a-Largo, per a report on Fox News.
The “Rocky” star likened Trump to his titular character and the way the two changed — “going to go through a metamorphosis and change lives, just like President Trump.”
“We are in the presence of a really mythical character. I love mythology,” Stallone said as Collin Rugg, an media personality posted on X, formerly Twitter.
“This individual does not exist on this planet. Nobody in the world could have pulled off what he pulled off,” Stallone said.
He went on to compare Trump to the nation’s first president.
“When George Washington defended his country, he had no idea that he was going to change the world. ’cause without him, you could imagine what the world would look like,” Stallone said.
“Guess what? We got the second George Washington,” he added.
His speech Thursday night marks the first time Stallone talked publicly about Trump in this election cycle.
He did not vote in the 2016 and 2020 elections.
