Schumer Declines Answering Questions on Hunter Biden: ‘Got Nothing for You on That’

WASHINGTON, DC - DECEMBER 03: U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) speaks following the weekly Senate luncheon at the U.S. Capitol on December 03, 2024 in Washington, DC. Senate Democrats said they would work with Republicans to process President-elect Donald Trump's Cabinet nominations but insisted they follow the standard F.B.I. background investigation process. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) remained tight-lipped Tuesday as he dodged questions regarding President Joe Biden pardoning his son, Hunter.

On Tuesday, reporters tried to get Schumer to comment about Hunter Biden’s pardon, but only received, “I’ve got nothing for you on that,” Politico reported.

The questions ranged from Schumer’s thought on the pardon as well as the ethics of the pardon and what precedent it sets.

Many Democratic senators have spoken against the pardon and called out that Biden would not interfere on behalf of his son, IJR previously reported.

Schumer, however, has remained a steadfast Biden supporter in a year that included his son’s legal woes to stepping down from his re-election bid for president, per Politico.
