When President-elect Donald Trump Trump enters his second term as president, he will likely not restrict access to abortion pills.

That was part of a message he gave during an interview with Kristen Welker on “Meet the Press.”

“I’ll probably stay with exactly what I’ve been saying for the last two years. And the answer is no,” Trump said when asked if he would restrict access to abortion pills, The Hill reported.

President-elect Donald Trump says "no," he will not restrict the availability of medication abortions during his second term.

“I mean … things change. I think they change. I hate to go on shows like Joe Biden, ‘I’m not going to give my son a pardon. I will not under any circumstances give him a pardon.’ I watched this and I always knew he was going to give him a pardon,” Trump said.

Trump was referring to President Joe Biden pardoning his son, Hunter, after months of stating he wouldn’t.

“And so, I don’t like putting myself in a position like that,” Trump said. “So things do change. But I don’t think it’s going to change at all.”

During his first four years in office, Trump appointed three Supreme Court justices during who voted to overturn Roe v. Wade.

This move led to limited access to abortions for women as states made the decision whether or not to provide access to abortions, something Trump has advocated.

Abortion advocates have been alarmed since the election about the possibility of his incoming administration restricting access to abortion pills by the Food and Drug Administration or through the Comstock Act.
