The news came out Tuesday that the Georgia Republican Party, through a resolution from the Georgia GOP’s State Executive Committee, said Duncan “is hereby expelled from the Georgia Republican Party,” according to a report on The Hill.

The Georgia Republican Party also said moving forward, to “as ‘expelled Republican Geoff Duncan’ or ‘ousted Republican Geoff Duncan’ when you go to him for quotes trashing President Trump and the Republican Party,” a media advisory posted on X read.

MEDIA ADVISORY:

Geoff Duncan having been formally expelled, we ask that you refer to him as “expelled Republican Geoff Duncan” or “ousted Republican Geoff Duncan” when you go to him for quotes trashing President Trump and the Republican Party. @AJC @CNNhttps://t.co/lR7RlgbvwU

Duncan later responded on X, saying it is difficult “to believe this is a good use of time for a party that’s only got a limited amount of time to figure out mass deportations, world peace and global tariffs.”

“Learn how to take a victory lap not light another dumpster fire @JoshMcKoon,” he added, referring to the chair of the Georgia GOP.

Duncan was criticized during the 2020 presidential election when he agreed with Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) over now President-elect Donald Trump in the certification the election results.

Duncan spoke at the 2024 Democratic National Convention, stating that the act of voting for Harris meant “you’re a patriot.”

“I can spend my time revving up this crowd, but I’m certain I don’t have to talk anybody out of voting for Donald Trump here,” Duncan said during the convention. “So I’m going to focus my attention on the millions of Republicans and independents at home that are sick and tired of making excuses for Donald Trump.”
