Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa.) and Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) have demanded documents from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) pertaining to former President Joe Biden’s use of a personal email address he used to conduct official government business and his family’s business dealings.

According to Fox News, both Grassley and Johnson have been seeking these records since 2021.

“Since 2021, we have conducted oversight of Joe Biden’s use of multiple pseudonyms and personal email addresses for official government business when he served as vice president,” the senators wrote in a letter. “Despite our multiple requests for information, the Biden White House failed to respond.”

They noted that they believe it is important to review the records, despite Biden pardoning his son Hunter and other family members including his brother, James Biden.

“Although former President Biden is no longer in office and he pardoned his son Hunter and other family members, we believe it is of importance to review these records, so the American people have a full accounting of Joe Biden and his family’s activities while Joe Biden was in government,” they wrote.

The senators are urging NARA to release all records concerning Hunter Biden, his business partners Devon Archer and Christopher Heinz, their Chinese and Russian associates, as well as any joint ventures and groups they were involved with, including Rosemont Seneca, Rosemont Capital, Bohai Harvest, Blue Star Strategies, CEFC China Energy, and Hudson West.

They are also requesting records from the vice president’s office during Joe Biden’s time in the Obama administration that reference these individuals and companies.

Additionally, Grassley and Johnson are seeking records linked to Joe Biden’s pseudonyms and email addresses, such as “[email protected],” “[email protected],” “JRB Ware2,” and “67stingray.”

Fox News further reported that since 2019, Grassley and Johnson have been investigating Hunter Biden’s business dealings, with a particular focus on his involvement with the Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings.

In a report released in September 2020, they stated that Obama administration officials were aware that Hunter Biden’s position on Burisma’s board was problematic and it hindered the effective implementation of policy concerning Ukraine.

Hunter Biden joined Burisma in April 2014 and reportedly connected the firm with Blue Star Strategies to help address corruption charges in Ukraine. During Hunter Biden’s tenure on the board, Joe Biden served as vice president and managed U.S.-Ukraine relations and policy for the Obama administration.
