President Donald Trump doesn’t understand why there is so much interest in the Jeffrey Epstein case.

And the president lambasted those who want more information on Epstein’s “client list” — even those who support the president, per a report on Mediaite.

“Mr. President, I know you’ve urged people to move on,” NBC News Senior White House Correspondent Garrett Haake asked. “But I’m curious, why do you think your supporters in particular have been so interested in the Epstein story and so upset with how it’s been handled?”

“I don’t understand it. I don’t know why they would be so interested,” Trump told reporters at at Joint Base Andrews Tuesday night. “He’s dead for a long time. He was never a big factor in terms of life. I don’t understand what the interest or what the fascination is. I really don’t.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced last week that Epstein did not have a client list, per a Department of Justice memo. That is a stark contrast to Bondi telling Fox News in February that the list was “sitting on my desk right now.”

The DOJ memo also repeated the notion that Epstein committed suicide while in a Manhattan jail in 2019.

Many MAGA supporters were not happy with the DOJ memo since they had been told by Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino that the Epstein file had damning information about associates of Epstein.

One former associate of Epstein is Trump, who has been viewed as a former associate, has avoided questions as to how Biondi has handled the case, per Mediaite.

On Tuesday, Trump called the Epstein case “pretty boring stuff.”

“But I don’t understand why the Jeffrey Epstein case would be of interest to anybody. It’s pretty boring stuff. It’s sordid, but it’s boring,” Trump said. “And I don’t understand why it keeps going. I think, really, only pretty bad people, including fake news, wanna keep something like that going. But credible information, let them give it. Anything that’s credible, I would say let them have it.”

Epstein was in jail who was awaiting sex trafficking charges, per The Hill.

A man who shared a cell with Epstein said there was “no way” he committed suicide.

“I spent seven months on that tier and in those cells. And the first thing I have to say, there’s just, you — there’s no way you are able to commit suicide,” he told NewsNation on Monday. “There’s just no way. There’s no way to hang yourself. There’s nothing from the ceiling, there’s nothing from the bed. You’d have to be a midget and work really hard to try to hang yourself, and I don’t think you can accomplish it at that point.”
