Conservative pundit Meghan McCain called CNN anchor and reporter Kaitlan Collins “an absolute imbecile” and urged the White House to pull her credentials.

The reason for McCain’s attack on Collins was the way she questioned press secretary Karoline Leavitt regarding President Donald Trump’s opinion of Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, per The Hill.

“Kaitlan Collins is an absolute imbecile and a pure partisan hack,” McCain wrote Wednesday on X. “Have some respect for the two women standing in front of you who are exposing lies, deep corruption and keeping the country safe. The White House should pull her credentials.”

McCain’s post was a response to how Collins questioned Gabbard earlier Wednesday.

At the briefing, Gabbard alleged that former President Barack Obama tried to undermine President Donald Trump before of the 2016 election.

Collins asked about the conflicting intelligence regarding Iran’s nuclear program.

“What would you say to people who believe that you’re only releasing these documents now to improve your standing with the president after he said that your intelligence assessments were wrong,” Collins asked.

Trump has pulled a media’s credentials before.

In this administrative alone, Trump pulled the credentials for the Associated Press when it refused to call the Gulf of Mexico the “Gulf of America.” Those credentials have since been reinstated.
