Dean Cain received an icy response from comedian John Leguizamo when the Superman actor announced he has joined U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE).
Leguizamo, 65, called the “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” alum a “moron” and “loser” in an Instagram video Aug. 8, USA Today reported.
“What kind of loser volunteers to be an ICE officer?” Leguizamo said.
“What a moron. Dean Cain, your pronouns are has/been.”
The Colombia-born actor added “#deancain volunteered to be an ice agent! I got one word for you: LOSER!” to the caption.
Cain announced on X Aug. 5 that he joined ICE and its effort to stop illegal immigration, IJR previously reported.
He touted the benefits of joining, including a $50,000 signing bonus, student loan repayment and enhanced retirement benefits.
“So, if you want to help save America, ICE is arresting the worst of the worst and removing them from America’s streets. I like that. I voted for that,” Cain said. “They need your help. We need your help, to protect our homeland and our families.”
Posters on X were split between supporting Cain or Leguizamo.
