Tulsi Gabbard Pulls Security Clearances Of 37 Intel Officials

WASHINGTON, DC - JULY 23: White House Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard talks to reporters in the Brady Press Briefing Room at the White House on July 23, 2025 in Washington, DC. Gabbard released a 2017 report from the House Permanent Committee on Intelligence that she says undermines the conclusion of intelligence agencies during the Obama administration that Russia favored the election of Donald J. Trump in 2016. (Photo by Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images)

Now this is the kind of house cleaning we were promised.

On Tuesday, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard — yes, that Tulsi — dropped a political bomb that has Washington’s intelligence swamp scrambling for cover. In a move that shocked the old guard and thrilled anyone who’s been paying attention since 2016, Gabbard stripped the security clearances of 37 current and former intelligence officials for — and get this — abusing the public trust.

Cue the gasps. Cue the media meltdown. Cue every former CNN contributor who’s now clutching their pearls and screaming “danger to democracy” from their Georgetown living rooms.

But here’s the kicker: this wasn’t just a random cleanout. Gabbard didn’t spin a wheel and land on some unlucky bureaucrats. This was surgical. Strategic. And long overdue.

The list includes some familiar names — like ex-Principal Deputy DNI Stephanie O’Sullivan and Vinh Nguyen — both of whom worked hand-in-glove with James Clapper to cobble together that now-infamous 2016 “intelligence assessment” that suggested Russia “aspired” to help Donald Trump defeat Hillary Clinton. Yes, aspired — not exactly language that screams hard evidence, but that didn’t stop the media from running it like it was the smoking gun.

🚨 BREAKING: Tulsi Gabbard has just REVOKED the security clearances of 37 people involved in the Russia Collusion Hoax

“Their access to classified systems, facilities, materials, and information is to be terminated forthwith. Any contracts or employment with the U.S. Government… pic.twitter.com/FiO5bYOOQL

That assessment became the holy scripture for the Left’s Russia-collusion fantasy. And now we know it was rushed, manipulated, and — according to new documents just released by Gabbard — potentially cooked.

Because here’s the timeline they really don’t want you to look at:

On December 7, 2016, U.S. intelligence officials internally concluded that Russia likely didn’t interfere in the election in any meaningful way.

Then suddenly — poof — that assessment was scrapped the very next day. Why? “New guidance,” according to the documents.

And who do you think gave that guidance?

If you guessed the White House, congratulations. You’re officially smarter than a New York Times reporter.

On December 9, Barack Obama held a high-level meeting with his national security team. What followed was a brand-new intelligence assessment, conveniently aligning with the narrative that Russia helped Trump. It was fast-tracked and finished in less than a month — a process that normally takes a year or more. But don’t worry, we’re told, it was totally legit.

Fast forward to today. Gabbard, now serving under President Trump, isn’t just poking the bear. She’s taking the claws off it. In her words:

“These individuals have politicized and manipulated intelligence, leaked classified info, and violated tradecraft standards.”

Being entrusted with a security clearance is a privilege, not a right. Those in the Intelligence Community who betray their oath to the Constitution and put their own interests ahead of the interests of the American people have broken the sacred trust they promised to uphold. — DNI Tulsi Gabbard (@DNIGabbard) August 19, 2025

Translation? They turned America’s intelligence community into a political weapon — and now they’re losing access to the weapon they built.

And let’s be clear: this isn’t about revenge. It’s about restoring trust. Because these weren’t just analysts. These were people with clearance — top clearance — who pushed narratives, leaked classified info to the press, and twisted intelligence to fit political goals. And they did it all while smugly lecturing the rest of us about protecting “norms” and “democracy.”

Well, guess what? The norms are back. And they’re clearing house.

This move is already sending shockwaves through the beltway. Because if Tulsi Gabbard and President Trump are willing to take on the intelligence community — and strip them of their golden badges — what comes next?

More names? More documents? Accountability?

🚨DNI Tulsi Gabbard goes scorched earth on the 37 officials she just revoked security clearances from over Russia-gate:

“This seditious conspiracy that undermined our democracy, Republic, and broke trust that every professional is supposed to uphold.”

One thing’s for sure: the people who weaponized our government in 2016 didn’t think this day would come.

But here it is. And they should be very, very nervous.
