NBC News Interviews Federal Judges Amid Trump Cases

Oh, this one is rich. NBC News just handed anonymous federal judges a megaphone to vent their frustrations about the Supreme Court — and surprise, surprise, it’s all about Trump. The piece breathlessly claimed that a dozen judges were outraged, “frustrated,” and downright horrified that the Supreme Court has repeatedly sided with the Trump administration, sometimes without even bothering to spell out why. The horror! The drama! The judicial hand-wringing!

But here’s where it gets interesting: ten of those twelve judges went so far as to accuse the Court of “inexcusably” assisting Trump. That’s the word they used — inexcusably. As if the justices aren’t supposed to rule in favor of a sitting president’s authority when the law backs him up. Apparently, when it’s Trump, it’s suddenly scandalous.

And let’s not miss the emotional cherry on top. One anonymous judge, clearly bracing for his big movie moment, warned that if the Supreme Court doesn’t rein in Trump’s power, “somebody is going to die.” Yes, that’s the actual quote. NBC News ran with it like gospel, no names, no context, no accountability — just the perfect soundbite for stirring outrage against conservatives.

UNREAL: NBC News just gave 12 federal judges anonymity to bash the Supreme Court and President Trump.

It’s pure insanity for NBC to grant these judges anonymity.

It’s journalistic malpractice that doesn’t allow readers to make informed decisions about the judges’s biases. pic.twitter.com/2CWOyjBbhS

Here’s the part NBC didn’t highlight quite as dramatically: the Supreme Court has given Trump’s administration 17 victories. Seventeen. And in five of those, the justices didn’t provide lengthy explanations. Which, by the way, is completely legal and not exactly unprecedented. But because it’s Trump, the lower-court judges and their media friends act like democracy itself is on life support.

It gets better. Some of these same judges are apparently furious that Trump had the audacity — the sheer gall — to downsize parts of the Department of Education, fire people from the National Labor Relations Board, and clean house at the Merit Systems Protection Board. Imagine that: a president actually running the executive branch as if he’s in charge of it. How dare he.

And then, as if on cue, NBC framed Trump’s criticism of judicial overreach as some kind of unprecedented assault on democracy. Chief Justice Roberts caught some shade, too, with certain judges grumbling that he hasn’t done enough to defend their honor when the White House calls them out. Funny how judges can block nationwide policies with a single ruling, but if they get criticized for it, suddenly it’s a constitutional crisis.

The kicker? Even an Obama-appointed judge admitted that some of the lower courts were “out of line” in blocking Trump’s policies. Which makes you wonder: if the left-leaning judges themselves see the problem, maybe it’s not Trump who’s out of bounds here.

NBC didn’t forget to remind us about the “victims” of Trump’s policies either. A Clinton appointee just ruled against his National Guard deployment in Los Angeles. A Biden appointee blocked him from sending unaccompanied minors back to Guatemala. Over and over, activist judges stand in the way, and when the Supreme Court reins them in, suddenly it’s an “inexcusable” betrayal of justice.

But what one judge said was telling, they all have TDS and it’s a problem.

One anonymous Obama-appointed judge told NBC Trump derangement syndrome is “a real issue.” https://t.co/QOOpPVf4Id pic.twitter.com/tJNma3tau4

This whole article is less about the law and more about emotion. Anonymous warnings, dark prophecies of death, whispered fears of a collapsing judiciary — it reads like a script for a political thriller. But peel back the drama, and you’re left with this: a group of judges upset that the highest court in the land isn’t letting them legislate from the bench.

And here’s the twist NBC didn’t spell out: if the Supreme Court keeps up its track record, this tug-of-war is just getting started
