Ben Shapiro and Matt Walsh didn’t blink.

Just hours after Charlie Kirk was assassinated on a university campus for doing what we used to call free speech, the Daily Wire’s most outspoken voices came out swinging — not with timid condolences or carefully worded statements approved by lawyers. No. They came out with fire. With truth. With an unwavering defense of what Kirk died standing for: the right to speak freely in America, without being hunted down like a criminal for wrongthink.

And before the blood on the stage had even dried, the vultures showed up.

Leftist radicals — some hiding behind avatars, some with blue checks — mocked Charlie’s death. Others implied that more conservative voices deserve the same fate. These aren’t just fringe voices anymore. This kind of hatred is becoming the mainstream default for a movement that no longer wants to debate. They want to destroy.

But Shapiro didn’t flinch.

“I saw a lot of rumors online today that I’m going to cancel some sort of college tour. That’s bullshit,” he said plainly. “We are Americans. And we’re not going to be deterred.”

Read that again.

They just killed a conservative speaker for showing up to talk to students. And the response from Daily Wire isn’t “let’s lower the temperature,” or “maybe we’ll sit this one out.” No. It’s double down. Go back in. Speak louder.

That’s the spirit we need now.

And Shapiro’s words cut like a knife through the cowardice flooding our institutions:
“To those who would intimidate, who would seek to stop us, who would seek to end free discussion… we are not going to stop. And I have two words: f— you.”

We will never stop debating and discussing.

We will never stop standing up for what America is and what she should be.

And we will never let Charlie’s voice die.

That’s not hate. That’s backbone. That’s what resistance to tyranny looks like.

Meanwhile, Matt Walsh delivered a sobering truth that everyone needs to hear — even if it hurts. He said, “May we all be so devastating to the leftist project that they long for our demise.” And he’s right. Charlie Kirk wasn’t killed because he was polite. He was killed because he was effective. Because he was convincing. Because he made young Americans rethink what they’ve been force-fed by universities and the media.

.@MattWalshBlog on Charlie Kirk’s lasting legacy and the “rodents” who are celebrating his death:

And for that — he became a problem.

Let’s not sugarcoat what’s happening here.

This wasn’t a political assassination, but a religious assassination as well. And the only people who seem truly disturbed by it are the ones the Left already wanted silenced. CNN barely covers it. Campus administrators issue bland PR statements. Social media platforms allow open celebration of a man’s death.

And yet somehow, we’re the extremists?

This moment should be a wake-up call. But the real question is — for who?

Because if you’re still thinking this is about “disagreement,” or “misunderstanding,” or “bad actors on both sides,” then you haven’t been paying attention. They’re not trying to win the debate. They’re trying to end the debate. With threats. With bans. With bullets.

What they didn’t count on — what they never understand — is that you can’t kill the truth by silencing the speaker.

You think killing Charlie Kirk ends his message?

It multiplies it.

Because as Walsh said: “The only thing more powerful than a living fighter is a martyred one.”

The Left just made Charlie Kirk a martyr — and in doing so, they ignited something they can’t control.

So no, Ben Shapiro won’t cancel his tour. Matt Walsh won’t go quiet. The Daily Wire won’t fold.

And if you think the rest of us are going to bow down in fear after this? You haven’t been paying attention.

We’re just getting started.
