House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) took to the microphone Wednesday morning to point out how Senate Democrats are hurting their home states.

Johnson’s words come am the federal government shutdown continued, Politico reported.

Johnson held a press conference where listed headlines from across the country.

ā€œRemember Georgia’s two Democrat senators, [Raphael] Warnock and [Jon] Ossoff, have now voted five times to keep the government closed down,ā€ Johnson said as he spoke Georgia families worrying about access to food banks. ā€œI suspect they may continue, and they’re hurting real people in the state of Georgia.ā€

New Hampshire Democratic Sens. Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan were up next on Johnson’s list.

ā€œLet me point out that both senators … have repeatedly voted to keep to keep government closed and New Hampshire’s national park sites closed by extension,ā€ Johnson said.

The speaker continued by pointing out the plight of air traffic controllers and flights across the country as aviation sector employees continue to grapple in high-pressure jobs without being sure when they will be paid.

The Senate will hold a sixth vote on dueling stopgap funding bills later Wednesday. Both expected to fail as both parties.

Watch:

Speaker Mike Johnson: ā€œThe people who are supposed to be protected are being completely cheated by Democrats in the Senate because they want to play politics. They hate Donald Trump. I mean, they have Trump Derangement Syndrome.ā€
