Late-night host Seth Meyers took time Monday to respond to President Donald Trump calling him “deranged” and “untalented.”

Trump took to Truth Social Saturday after Meyers joked about Trump’s criticism of the way aircraft carriers are built, The Hill reported.

On “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” the host responded by stating, “in general, I try to live by the New Yorker’s creed. When someone is ranting and raving about you, ignore them. Chances are they’re just going to move on and rant about something else.”

“But there is one thing that I simply have to address,” Meyers said. “You can say I’m untalented. You can say I’m deranged. … But I’m not the one who talks endlessly about catapults on aircraft carriers!”

“You’re the one who talks endlessly who talks endlessly about catapults on aircraft carriers,” he added.

“Until you said something, I didn’t even know aircraft carriers had catapults!” Meyers said, per Variety. “I’m not the talk-about-catapult guy. Just ask my friends. Oh, uh, friends are… how would I describe this to you? They’re like people who enjoy spending time with you independent of financial and legal favors you can grant them.”

In his “A Closer Look” segment, Meyers mentioned Trump’s renovation of the bathroom in the White House’s Lincoln Bedroom. Trump posted about the renovation six times in one day — amid the government shutdown.

“I say this with sincerity: I don’t want to talk about catapults. I don’t want to talk about bathrooms. And I’m realizing that I’m starting to sound like a deranged lunatic, but that’s what you do to us. You make us talk about what you’re talking about and then we all sound crazy.”

“What we should be talking about instead is the government shutdown you’re not solving, or the food assistance you refuse to fund. Working families are struggling while you renovate your bathroom and you build your ballroom,” Meyers continued.

“And that’s why your approval ratings are in the…” Meyers said before showing a clip of Trump yelling “toilet!”

Trump and his allies have attacked late-night hosts for months.

“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” will go off the air in May after Colbert spoke out about the settlement between Paramount — CBS’s parent company — and the Trump administration.

Then, ABC host Jimmy Kimmel was briefly suspended after he made comments about the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
