Elon Musk has been a lot of things on his lifetime — CEO and former head of the Department of Government Efficiency, you name a few.
Now, he can add prognosticator to the list as he has predicted “great 12-year span” for the GOP in leadership, per Politico.
Musk met with his former DOGE colleagues via video when he said the 12 years of greatness started with Presidential Donald Trump’s second term followed by Vice President JD Vance at the helm for eight years.
The meeting occurred Nov. 22 when current and past DOGE employees met on a building near his SpaceX and Boring Co. facilities in Bastrop, Texas. This is according to two attendees and another person familiar with the event. All three were granted anonymity.
Musk’s relationship with Trump had been strained since June, but the two have reconciled.
Is the meantime, the personal relationship between Musk and Vance has grown stronger.
Musk spoke with about 150 current and former members and some family members of the DOGE team.
Security was tight as phones were stored in security pouches.
Musk said he did not show up in person for security e, adding he is a high risk for assassination after Trump and Vance.
Musk endorsed Trump after he was shot in Butler, Pennsylvania, during a campaign rally.
Many were disappointed when Musk did not show in person.
“Some people who brought their spouses were embarrassed at how underwhelming the event was, especially since Musk did not show up,” one said.
Musk spoke on random topics such as fears of civil conflict to the Kardashev scale, a theoretical measurement of a civilization’s technological advancement and his argument for establishing a colony on Mars.
One attendee commented that Musk referenced science-fiction novels he had read.
But Musk’s involvement in politics remains unclear.
In an interview with Nikil Kamath, Musk said,“Generally I’ve found that when I get involved in politics, it ends badly.”
