Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) would support strikes that would hamper any Iranian nuclear weapons ambitions.
The Pennsylvania senator took to X Monday to express his thoughts one the matter, per Fox News.
“Iran can’t ever develop a nuclear weapon,” Fetterman wrote. “Fully supported the strike earlier this year.”
“Fully support any future strikes to damage or destroy their nuclear ambitions,” he added.
Fetterman is an ardent supporter of Israel.
On Monday, President Donald Trump cautioned there could be future action if Iran seeks to rebuild its program.
“Now I hear that Iran is trying to build up again. And if they are we’re gonna have to knock ’em down,” Trump said. “We’ll knock the hell out of ‘em. But hopefully that’s not happening. I heard Iran wants to make a deal. If they want to make a deal that’s much smarter.”
Trump spoke while standing with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The two met in Florida on Monday.
