Minneapolis has become the epicenter of nationwide unrest following the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent — and the fallout is growing more dangerous by the day.

Tens of thousands took to the streets on Saturday for the “ICE out of Minnesota” march, and while city leaders like Mayor Jacob Frey attempted to paint the event as “peaceful,” the reality told a different story. Protesters smashed hotel windows, hurled rocks and ice at police, stormed a federal building entrance, and even chased Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara and his officers down the street — all caught on video.

No arrests were made as officers literally ran from a violent mob hurling expletives and snowballs, chanting, “You better f***ing run!” and “F*** you!” according to reports and shocking TPUSA footage. That’s the state of law enforcement under left-wing city leadership.

And yet, three Democrat congresswomen — Ilhan Omar, Angie Craig, and Kelly Morrison — chose this weekend to demand entry into an ICE facility without proper notice. When denied under a new DHS policy requiring a 7-day heads-up, they cried foul, claiming ICE was “violating federal law.”

What they didn’t mention: that policy was issued the day after Good’s death — for safety reasons. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said it bluntly: ICE agents face escalating threats, and unannounced political visits only make it worse.

Let’s not forget what started this.

Footage shows ICE agents approaching a vehicle, instructing the driver — Renee Nicole Good — to step out. As the car suddenly lurches forward, an agent fires. The car speeds off and crashes. DHS says the agent acted in self-defense. The woman’s wife later said on video: “I made her come down here. It’s my fault.”

Should ICE operations continue unchanged in Minneapolis after recent protests?

But that hasn’t stopped the Left from turning Good into a martyr — despite her weaponizing a vehicle in a volatile federal operation. Noem called it domestic terrorism. Minneapolis officials, on the other hand, say she was just making a “three-point turn.”

Meanwhile, the FBI has taken over the investigation — but reportedly iced out state officials who demanded to be part of the probe. That only deepened the mistrust, adding fuel to an already raging political fire.

ICE Director Todd Lyons, already under fire from local officials, warned this week that anti-federal rhetoric is putting lives at risk. “Try to arrest my agents,” he dared. “Let’s see what happens.”

The stakes are higher than ever — and the divide between federal authority and leftist city officials is reaching a breaking point.
