What began as another tense weekend of demonstrations against Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Minnesota quickly turned personal for conservative influencer Nick Sortor.

According to Fox News, Sortor said he was confronted Sunday by a large group of anti-ICE protesters who surrounded his vehicle, shouted obscenities, and damaged his truck as tensions boiled over in the wake of a deadly law enforcement shooting earlier in the week.

Sortor shared footage showing the aftermath of the encounter, including a shattered rear window on his truck that had been spray-painted with white graffiti. In the same video, he pulled frozen water bottles from the bed of the truck, claiming they were thrown by protesters during the confrontation.

According to Sortor, the situation escalated beyond property damage. He alleged that protesters repeatedly threatened to kill him and fellow conservative influencer Cam Higby, who was also present at the scene.

Despite the chaos, Sortor said both men escaped without physical injury. He credited officers from the Eagan Police Department for intervening and helping ensure their safety.

“They protected me when violent rioters were after us,” Sortor wrote, thanking law enforcement for their response.

The incident comes amid a wave of protests that have erupted in multiple cities, including Los Angeles, Portland, and New York, following the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good by an ICE officer in Minneapolis on Wednesday.

The Department of Homeland Security has alleged that Good “weaponized her vehicle” and “attempted to run a law enforcement officer over” during the incident, claiming the agent acted in self-defense.

Video footage of the shooting has since circulated widely online, fueling intense political debate. Supporters of the officer say the footage corroborates DHS’s account, while critics argue it raises serious questions about the use of force by federal immigration agents.

The shooting remains under active federal investigation.

As protests continue nationwide, the confrontation involving Sortor underscores how volatile the atmosphere has become, with demonstrations increasingly spilling beyond organized rallies and into direct, and at times dangerous, encounters between activists, influencers, and law enforcement.

The “peaceful protestors” are at it again.

Surrounding my vehicle. Breaking my windows. Spray painting the car.

Telling @camhigby and I over and over that they’re going to kiII us.

We are safe.

But police have *US* detained because rioters called 911 on *US*
