Catherine O’Hara — known for her work in “Schitt’s Creek,” “Home Alone,” and “Best In Show” — has died, TMZ reported.
O’Hara died Friday, according to two sources. The cause of death was not immediately available.
O’Hara played the mother in the first two “Home Alone” movies and portrayed Moira Rose in “Schitt’s Creek.”
She also had roles in the mockumentaries “Best in Show,” and “A Mighty Wind” and also starred in “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” and the “Beetlejuice.”
Most recently, she worked with Seth Rogen in the Apple TV+ series, “The Studio.” She earned an Emmy nomination for her work.
She won an Emmy Award for her work in “Schitt’s Creek” in 2020.
She received her first Emmy in 1982 for her writing contributions to the sketch comedy TV series, “SCTV Network 90.”
Catherine was born and raised in Toronto. She met her husband, production designer Bo Welch, on the set of “Beetlejuice.”
They got married in 1992 and had two sons, Matthew and Luke.
O’Hara was 71.
