Former Vice President Kamala Harris said she might run for president again on Tuesday.
When asked by podcaster Sharon McMahon whether she would run again, Harris said she “hasn’t decided” yet, but later confirmed she is considering running. McMahon replied, “That’s what I’ve been saying!”
“I closed the book and I’m like, oh, she wants to,” McMahon continued, “she’s just thinking about it—that was my impression. I don’t know if that’s what you intended, but that was my impression.”
Harris did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for a comment.
Harris rebranded her 2024 presidential campaign’s X account in February 2025, which was dormant for over a year. The account, which was morphed into a self-described “Gen-Z led progressive content hub,”
The former vice presidentlost to President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election by over 2 million votes and 86 electoral votes. She has not registered as a candidate with the Federal Election Commission at the time of publication.
Harris previously teased a 2028 run in an October 2025 interview with the BBC, saying, “I am not done.” In the same interview, she dismissed polls placing her as an outsider for the Democratic nomination in comparison to other Democratic leaders, including Govs. Gavin Newsom of California and JB Pritzker of Illinois.
