A night at Tiger Woods’ tech-driven golf league turned into a small crossover between sports and politics when Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce was spotted speaking with President Donald Trump’s granddaughter.
According to Fox News, Kelce attended an event for The Golf League (TGL) earlier this week and was seen chatting with Kai Trump before the competition began.
Video shared by Tyler Boronski captured the brief interaction ahead of a matchup between Woods’ Jupiter Links team and The Bay Golf Club.
Kelce attended the event alongside his brother, Jason Kelce, as the two took in the action from the indoor golf league founded by Woods and Rory McIlroy.
The night featured a highlight moment when Tom Kim recorded a hole-in-one, helping Woods’ Jupiter Links squad clinch a playoff berth.
President Trump has previously been seen at TGL events. His appearances came not long before Woods publicly confirmed his relationship with Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr., in March 2025.
Despite Kelce’s interaction with Kai Trump at the event, the Chiefs tight end has not been publicly seen meeting with the president.
Kelce has, however, visited the White House in recent years after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victories. During those celebrations, he met former President Joe Biden in both 2023 and 2024.
Woods confirmed his relationship with Vanessa Trump in a social media post on March 23, 2025.
“Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts,” Woods wrote.
The couple has largely kept their relationship private since going public.
Their families also share a connection through golf. Woods’ son, Charlie, and Vanessa Trump’s daughter, Kai, are both competitive players. Kai has committed to play at the University of Miami, while Charlie plans to attend Florida State.
Woods is also working toward a return to competitive golf and is aiming to play in next month’s Masters after recovering from a ruptured Achilles last year.
