President Donald Trump will hold a cabinet meeting Wednesday at Camp David — a place he is rarely seen.
The meeting will be held as peace talks with Iran are ongoing, The New York Post reported.
All cabinet members — including outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard — are expected to attend the meeting at the presidential retreat in rural Maryland.
The 125-acre compound, located in Catoctin Mountain Park, is guarded by U.S. Marines and is a secure location for delicate conversations.
The meeting location could change if there is bad weather. Trump typically flies to Camp David via helicopter, but Washington, D.C., has had heavy rain in recent days. This could force the trip to be canceled.
While other presidents used Camp David, Trump has only been to Camp David 16 times over his two terms as president.
At Wednesday’s cabinet meeting, the 12th since Trump took office in 2025, discussions will include “recent successes of the administration including economy and small business wins, Task Force to Eliminate Fraud highlights, and foreign policy updates,” according to a White House official.
The administration is also working to highlight its what it is doing on affordability and other issues of concern to voters before the November midterm elections.
Iran will likely to dominate the meeting after the U.S. conducted strikes late Monday on targets in the south of Iran. This was followed by Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei threatening American military bases in the Middle East.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said earlier Tuesday that talks are still taking place but it may take “a few days” to work out all the details.
“It’s a lot of talking back and forth going on about specific language in the initial document,” Rubio said. “So it’ll take a few days. The president’s expressed his desire to make [sure] he’s either going to make a good deal or no deal.”
