Rep. Ayanna Pressley Scorches Trump: He Is ‘Hellbent on Squatting’ in the Oval Office’

President Donald Trump continues to claim that he won the 2020 presidential election, despite several news outlets calling the race for President-elect Joe Biden.

During an interview on MSNBC on Monday, Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) was asked what she believed would happen with the presidential transition process as Trump and members of his administration “say weird stuff on a daily basis” and have delayed the transition process.

She responded by calling Trump’s actions and refusal to concede “pathetic” and “unpatriotic.”

“We have always had a seamless transition of power. It’s a pillar of our democracy. It’s a pillar of our institutions,” she continued. “And so the fact that the person whom I’ve referred to as ‘The Occupant’ for the last four years is now hellbent on squatting within the Oval Office is certainly no surprise.”

However, she claimed that Democrats have the law and the courts “on our side.”

“And he will move on,” she added.

While some administration officials have accepted the election results, others have said they are planning for a second Trump administration.

Trump seemed to accept the results of the election on Sundaym but quickly sent out a tweet to clarify that he was not admitting defeat, as IJR reported

  1. “The conspiracies and hyperbole are designed to do to Biden what he did to Obama by delegitimizing him in the eyes of Trump World.” Phyllis

There is a noticeable difference, though, Phyllis.

King Donald The Loser’s attacks on Obama were based on anger and racism, to have stupid, gullible people vote for him. He is attacks on Biden are designed to raise money from stupid, gullible people.

  2. To borrow a line from my friend the General, “We must elect better politicians.”

Trump will leave on or before Jan 20th, 2021. No one really sees Trump successfully pulling a Maduro. The conspiracies and hyperbole are designed to do to Biden what he did to Obama by delegitimizing him in the eyes of Trump World.
I have no idea why Iran or Russia perceived that the U.S. needed their assistance in “cause confusion, sow chaos, and undermine your confidence in American democracy.” (Ratcliff) We have the King of Chaos & Confusion undermining his followers’ confidence in the American democratic process since BEFORE he was elected.

The 2016 election Electoral College system was “rigged against Republicans.” Trump won the electoral college vote so he retired that claim and replaced it with “3-5 million illegal votes for Hillary.” Kris Kobach, who had been the chief conspiracist on voter fraud, was unable to find evidence to support the conspiracy. But the Trump administration continued to tout the unfounded conspiracy in press conferences, Sunday shows appearances, and social media.
Trump touted the bizarre notion that the only way he could lose the election was fraud BEFORE the election. No one is surprised he continues to tout “a rigged election” even as his attorneys have lost 8 lawsuits and dropped 4.
