President Joe Biden insists polls show he is ahead in the 2024 election.
On Tuesday, a reporter asked, “What’s your message to Democrats who are concerned about your poll numbers?”
“My poll numbers? The last five polls you guys don’t report,” Biden responded.
He claimed, “I’m winning — five! Five in a row!”
He added, “You guys only look at The New York Times… great paper.”

The question comes as RealClearPolitics’ average of polls shows Biden trailing former President Donald Trump by two points.
Meanwhile, he holds a narrow lead in two out of the last five polls included in the average as of Tuesday afternoon.
FiveThirtyEight’s polling tracker also did not show a five poll streak of Biden leading.
In a statement to Axios earlier this week, Michael Tyler, communications director for the Biden-Harris 2024 campaign, dismissed the polls saying, “Polling continues to be at odds with how Americans vote, and consistently overestimates Donald Trump while underestimating President Biden.”
“Our campaign is ignoring the noise and running a strong campaign to win — just like we did in 2020,” he added.
