What do you give a presidential candidate for his 78th birthday?
If your campaigning against him, you mock his 78 “accomplishments — one for each year of his life.
That’s the tactic President Joe Biden’s campaign did to commemorate political foe Donald Trump’s birthday, The Hill reported
The Biden campaign listed Yrump’s legal troubles and controversial moments when he was in the White House.
The list included Trump’s 34 felony convictions in New York for falsifying business records, his difficulties as a business owner, his calling for the death penalty for the Central Park Five, a video he posted on social media referencing a “unified Reich,” and his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Happy birthday, Donald. You’re a crook, a failure, a fraud, and a threat to our democracy, economy, rights, and future,” Biden campaign spokesperson James Singer said. “On behalf of America, our early gift for your 79th: Making sure you are never President again.”
Trump will celebrate his birthday, which is Friday, by attending an event in Florida.
The issue of age has played a big part in this year’s election given Trump is battling 81-year/old Biden.
A CBS News/YouGov poll found 50% of voters believe Trump has the mental and cognitive accuity to serve as president. However, only 35% said the same about Biden.
Regardless of which candidate wins, that person would be the oldest president to ever serve by the end of the term.
Trump would be 82 and seven months old; Biden would be 86 and two months old.
