President Joe Biden is trying to paint himself as more honest than his predecessor.
In an interview with Univision Radio, Biden said, “I want to make it clear to you that, first of all, I tell you the truth and I’m not being facetious when I say that.”
“I’ve never been fact checked by you or the press,” he claimed.

Biden appeared to be referring to the obsessive effort to fact check former President Donald Trump during his time in office.
The Washington Post claimed it had tracked “30,573 untruths” during Trump’s presidency.
However, Biden’s claim that he has not been fact checked is not true.
Last year, he was called out by CNN for claiming he was at Ground Zero in Manhattan a day after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Additionally, in 2020, he claimed he was arrested trying to visit Nelson Mandela, which was rated false by The Washington Post.
He has also been fact checked for making claims about where and when his grandfather died and claiming to see a bridge collapse in person in Pittsburgh.
And he has repeatedly told a debunked story involving an Amtrak employee who died before the story allegedly took place.
