Biden Botches the Declaration of Independence Again – Abruptly Moves On

President Joe Biden once again fumbled while trying to recite the Declaration of Independence.

During an event on Monday, the president started reciting one of the most famous lines from our nation’s founding, as he said, “We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men and women are created equal, endowed by their creator with certain unaliab…”

He paused, then added, “We’ve never fully lived up to it. We’ve never before walked away from it. Never before walked away from it.”

This is not the first time Biden has cut off part of the famous sentence.

In Mar. 2020, then-candidate Biden said, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, all men and women created by… oh, you know the thing.”

The full sentence states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

During the same event, Biden tripped over the word “America.”

Democrats have been feeling more optimistic about their chances heading into November.

Polls seemed to show that support for Democrats was improving. But those were of course when all the attention was on former President Donald Trump and while Biden had essentially disappeared from the public.

Now that he is back, he is getting into high gear when it comes to public appearances, and that’s probably not a good thing for the Democrats.

Earlier this month he declared some section of Americans a threat to democracy. It’s not clear exactly what the scope of that group is.

But Democrats should have always worried that Biden would return in such a public away and resume making gaffes that lead to questions about his age or anger millions of Americans. And so far, it seems that he’s going to be the same old Biden that was polling in the 30s, which should send a shiver down the back of vulnerable Democrats.
