Former Bill President Clinton was released from a hospital in time to spend the Christmas holiday with his family.

Clinton was discharged Tuesday morning. He was admitted to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital on Monday and treated for the flu, The Hill reported.

“He and his family are deeply grateful for the exceptional care provided by the team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and are touched by the kind messages and well wishes he received,” spokesperson Angel Ureña posted on X, formerly Twitter. “He sends his warmest wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season to all.”

Clinton was admitted Monday with a fever.

“President Clinton was admitted to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital this afternoon for testing and observation after developing a fever,” Ureña wrote Monday on X. “He remains in good spirits and deeply appreciates the excellent care he is receiving.”

The former helped Vice President Kamala Harris in her failed attempt to win the presidency.

He also spoke at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
