A Christian publishing company released a children’s book that focuses on the importance of Christmas amid “woke” agendas being pushed.

Brave Books publisher released “Mouse in the House,” an alternative to “Elf on The Shelf,” according to the Washington Examiner. “Mouse in the House” reportedly aims to teach children about the importance of Christmas traditions and allow them to practice kindness and giving.

“Mr. Mouse is here for the holidays, and he’s sure to bring each family new traditions that are much more meaningful and memorable than the ones being pushed upon us by the ‘woke’ activists of the world,” Zac Bell, a spokesman with Brave Books, told the outlet.

“Mouse in the House” is described as being “a heartwarming Christmas adventure your kids will love” and comes with a Mr. Mouse plush toy.

“This special Christmas bundle comes with an adorable Mr. Mouse plushie and a fun book that reimagines the Elf on the Shelf Christmas tradition,” the description of the book says. “Your kids will love diving into Mr. Mouse’s Christmas adventures as they search for Mr. Mouse in the book and in your home this December. Through the story, activity, and fun rewards, teach your children about the joy of serving others this Christmas season with Mouse in the House!”

Kirk Cameron, a faith-based actor and author, praised the release of the book and advised parents and grandparents to “stop complaining” about today’s culture and instead “lead by example.”

“If we, as parents and grandparents, long for a return to wholesome, God-honoring values, then we must stop complaining about the culture,” Cameron told the outlet. “Instead, we must lead by example and show our kids and grandkids what genuine faith and moral integrity look like. Be brave and start creating the culture you want for your children.”

The release of “Mouse in the House” comes as companies such as Target and Walmart have come under fire for “sexualizing” Christmas after releasing an LGBTQ+ holiday line that includes a pride-themed Santa and Christmas Nutcracker.

IJR reached out to Brave Books and Kirk Cameron for a statement but did not receive a response by the time of publication.
