Singer Cher said she will leave America if former President Donald Trump is re-elected.
In an interview with The Guardian, Cher, 77, shared how she felt about Trump’s presidency.
“I almost got an ulcer the last time,” she admitted. “If he gets in, who knows? This time I will leave [the country].”
Cher also shared her concerns with the publication over the future of transgender people.
“It’s something like 500 bills they’re trying to pass,” she told the publication. “I was with two trans girls the other night – and of course my own child [Chaz is trans].”
Cher continued, “I was saying ‘We’ve got to stand together.’ I don’t know what their eventual plan is for trans people. I don’t put anything past them.”
This wasn’t the first time the “Believe” singer has expressed her disdain for Trump.
In 2016, Cher told The Washington Post she “wouldn’t last through what [President Trump] could do.”

“There’s no lasting. Not even me. Not even cockroaches,” she added.
She also claimed Trump’s presidency prevents diversity from flourishing in America.
“The more we get mixed, the more we are tolerant. Eventually, it’s going to be great,” she explained. “But I don’t know if I’ll see it in my lifetime, because Trump has done so much damage and I’m not sure people really understand how deep the damage goes.”
Additionally, Cher posted a tweet in 2016 calling Trump, the 45th president, a “F***king Traitor” who should be “kicked out” of America.
In an interview with The Guardian in 2020, the superstar voiced her support for President Joe Biden and said she believes Trump is going to burn down the White House if he can’t be in it.
“He’s trying to block Joe at every moment. He’s the most vindictive person I’ve ever witnessed. I think he’s fighting so hard because he’s going to be prosecuted when he gets out of the White House.”
When asked whether she believes he could go to prison, Cher replied, “Oh, I hope so. I’ll be dancing around.”
