Authorities ordered a Chinese national to be held on trespassing charges Friday after he allegedly attempted to gain access to President-elect Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

Police arrested Zijie Li, a 39-year-old Chinese national, on Thursday after he arrived at the estate’s gate via Uber, according to The Associated Press. Li violated a specific court directive to steer clear of the property, following his previous attempts to gain access.

Residing in suburban Los Angeles under a student visa, Li was recently discharged from a mental hospital where he had been placed in late October following his discovery near Mar-a-Lago, AP reported. He now faces two misdemeanor charges of trespassing.

🚨BREAKING🚨 Three individuals have reportedly been charged for involvement in an Iran-linked effort to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Friday.

Li’s arrests are part of a trend of security breaches involving Trump, including a near-fatal sniper attack at a Pennsylvania rally in July and a September incident where an alleged attempted assassin targeted him at the Trump International Golf Club. Although Trump’s presidency saw several unauthorized entries into Mar-a-Lago, including two by Chinese nationals, none of the previous incursions involved attempts on his life, the AP reported. The Department of Justice charged three men in connection with a plot linked to Iran aimed at assassinating Trump, officials revealed on Friday. Arrests include New Yorkers Carlisle Rivera and Jonathon Loadholt. Iranian national Farhad Shakeri remains at large and is believed to be in Iran.
