NBC’s Chuck Todd has reportedly been working under the radar to let other news organizations he is ripe for the taking.
According to a report in Semafor, Todd has been meeting with Washington-based media organizations.
Todd, the former host of “Meet the Press,” has said he plans to leave NBC when his contract is up, per the report.
His contract is set to expire later this year. His future plans may include both broadcast and digital projects.
Todd decided to no longer be the moderator of “Meet the Press” in 2023. He had done that weekly show in addition to doing a daily “Meet the Press” on MSNBC.
Overall, Todd has been seen less after stepping down from “Meet the Press.”
Todd was one of many in the NBC family to criticize the network when it hired Ronna McDaniel, former Republican National Committee Chair, last year.
The network ultimately change its mind on hiring McDaniel, but many were left wondering how long Todd’s tenure at NBC would last.
