CNN is calculating how much former President Donald Trump would have to sell to be able to match his opponent’s fundraising numbers.
On Thursday, CNN’s Harry Enten noted President Joe Biden ended the month of February with $71 million on hand, while Trump had $33.5 million. He pointed out the former president raised $20 million for the whole month.
By contrast, Biden was expected to raise another $25 million at a fundraiser in New York City this week.
“And again, a little bit more context, how much would Trump need to sell to reach $25 million? You know, he’s selling those bibles – those ‘God Bless the U.S.A.’ bibles. He would need to sell more than 400,000 of those to reach $25 million,” Enten said.
He went on, “Remember those ‘Never Surrender’ Trump sneakers? He would have to sell approximately 62,657 of them. So, that’s why he’s looking forward to that big fundraiser next month ’cause simply put, this type of stuff, this gimmicky stuff ain’t gonna get him there.”

The segment comes days after Trump advertised the “God Bless the USA Bible.”
It is a King James Version of the Bible that includes the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Pledge of Allegiance, and sells for $59.99.
However, Trump’s campaign’s website insists he will not be receiving profits from its sales, saying, “GodBlessTheUSABible.com is not political and has nothing to do with any political campaign.”
Enten also referenced Trump’s low-top sneakers that went for $399 and sold out within hours of their launch.
