CNN anchors were stunned when they received the abrupt news that the White House press briefing was canceled hours after Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son, was found guilty of three felony charges.

On Tuesday, as a segment with the networks senior White House correspondent was winding down, host Boris Sanchez said, “We’ll let you get to that press briefing that was obviously delayed by the president’s remarks…”

“Uh… it actually just got canceled,” he continued.

Host Brianna Keilar chimed in, “Yeah, we just learned that. Briefing canceled… after the president’s son was convicted.”

“Whoops,” Sanchez said.

Earlier on Tuesday, Hunter Biden was found guilty on three felonies for illegally purchasing a firearm.

There was supposed to be a White House press briefing, for the first time in two weeks, however, hours after the verdict it was canceled.

President Joe Biden delivered remarks at a gun control event shortly after the verdict in his son’s trial was announced, then made a previously unscheduled visit to Delaware where he was seen embracing Hunter Biden on the tarmac.
