Senior advisor and co-manager of President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign Chris Lacivita appeared on Fox News Tuesday to condemn the Democratic Party’s repeated criticisms of President Donald Trump, labeling their strategy a “collage of idiocy.”

Twenty-two Democratic Party senators uniformly criticized Trump’s economic policies, as well as rising egg prices, in synchronized speeches as part of the “Shit That Ain’t True” campaign, several hours before his congressional address, with videos on X featuring a Trump clip about reducing prices from day one. During an appearance on “Special Report with Bret Baier,” Lacivita said that the repetitive nature of the attacks shows a severe lack of substance and disconnect with the electorate’s demands for actionable leadership.

“And I’m just wondering from a political point of view, is that detrimental to their message?” Baier asked Lacivita.

“It’s a collage of idiocy is what it is. The American people want action and what they see with that video, because I’ve seen the larger video, which has 20 members, and they’re all saying the same thing,” Lacivita said.

The political strategist said that the uniformity in their messaging not only betrays a wasteful expenditure but also shows the disconnect of Washington politics from real issues facing Americans.

“They probably paid somebody a lot of money to write the same set of lines and repeat them. And that is classic Washington. And you juxtapose that with President Trump, who’s actually fighting for American people and doing very specific, concrete things,” Lacivita said. “They’re responding, and he’s driving the agenda. And in Washington, that’s what you need to do to be successful.”

Facing a record-low 36% favorability rating from a Feb. 24 Harvard CAPS/Harris poll, the Democratic Party is currently the minority in Congress as they grapple with countering Trump‘s aggressive policy tactics and shifting their messaging from divisive social issues to economic concerns that resonate more broadly with voters.

The Democrats who criticized Trump using a scripted statement include: Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly, New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal, Delaware Sen. Chris Coons, Hawaii Sen. Brian Schatz, Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono, Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, Illinois Sen. Tammy Duckworth, Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen, Maryland Sen. Angela Alsobrooks, Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey, Michigan Sen. Gary Peters, New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, New Jersey Sen. Andy Kim, New Mexico Sen. Martin Heinrich, New Mexico Sen. Ben Ray Luján, Oregon Sen. Jeff Merkley, Rhode Island Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, Vermont Sen. Peter Welch, Virginia Sen. Mark Warner and Wisconsin Sen. Tammy Baldwin.
