Twitter owner Elon Musk is making his choice to be the company’s CEO official: NBCUniversal advertising chief Linda Yaccarino.
And conservatives are confused.
In a tweet on Friday, Musk wrote, “I am excited to welcome Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter!
“[Yaccarino]will focus primarily on business operations, while I focus on product design [and] new technology. Looking forward to working with Linda to transform this platform into X, the everything app,” he added.

Can you address her involvement in the World Economic Forum and the promotion of DEI initiatives at NBC? I think your thoughts on these two issues are vital to preserving the trust you've earned over the past few months. Thanks, @elonmusk. https://t.co/GRhukxd7uR

So basically Elon is hoping she can bring back skittish advertisers while he's still ombudsman essentially. I hope it works, but remember why advertisers were skittish. Most of them are WEF simps, who either hate free speech or are afraid of it. There is no way that tension of… https://t.co/vVvk1aha85

It's official. Interesting move by @elonmusk. Not only is @LindaYacc an executive WEF member, but she's also hardcore pro-vaxx, pro-mask, and she's a woke social justice warrior. Plenty of videos of her going around of her already that prove it. Was it a blind, naive move by Musk… https://t.co/w2Yoo7JUIM

The Wall Street Journal reports Yaccarino was a key figure in the launch of NBC’s streaming service, Peacock.
She was a chairman of a World Economic Forum (WEF) task force.
Additionally, she was appointed by former President Donald Trump to a two-year term on his Council on Sports Fitness and Nutrition. During her time on the council, she helped develop an ad campaign with President Joe Biden’s White House for the COVID-19 vaccine.
On Twitter, Yaccarino follows several prominent conservatives such as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), the founder of the LibsofTikTok account, Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy, Fox News’ Jesse Watters, the Catturd account, conservative columnist Miranda Devine, Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany, and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio.)
