Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) has already won in Iowa — just probably not what he was expecting.
During a campaign event in Iowa on Saturday, Casey DeSantis, DeSantis’ wife, was seen speaking to a crowd. However, she was cut off as a man walked up to her and the governor, saying, “Real quick, before we get started. Thank you, everyone.”
“Gov. DeSantis, I want to present to you this participation trophy,” the man said, adding, “Now, you’re probably not going to win the election, right?”
He added, “But we’re proud of you for trying.”
Audience members could be heard laughing in the background.

Ron DeSantis turned down the trophy, stating, “I don’t do participation trophies… so sorry buddy.”
However, the man persisted, saying, “He’s special, he’s unique, and he’s our little snowflake.”
According to CNN, the man was part of a comedy duo known as “The Good Liars.”
The moment comes as RealClearPolitics’ average of polls shows DeSantis in third place ahead of the Iowa caucuses.
