Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is weighing on the boycott of Bud Light.

With the boycott ongoing, conservative commentator Benny Johnson asked the governor about his stance on the matter.

“Why would you want to drink Bud Light?” DeSantis asked.

He suggested, “I mean, like honestly, that’s like them rubbing our faces in it. And it’s like, these companies that do this, if they never have any response, they’re just going to keep doing it.”

He went on:

“I think we have power as consumers to make our voice heard. And not on every company, because sometimes conservative consumers aren’t going to make a dent in some companies. This one is one, if you don’t have conservative beer drinkers you’re going to feel that. And so I think it’s a righteous thing.”

Conservatives have expressed outrage and started to boycott Bud Light after its partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

DeSantis argued the move was part of a “larger thing where corporate America is trying to change our country, trying to change policy, trying to change culture.”

“I’d rather be governed by we the people than woke companies. And so I think pushback is in order across the board,” he added.

Johnson asked, “Will we ever see you drinking a Bud Light again?”

“No, I don’t think so,” DeSantis said.

He shared he is more of a fan of Guinness Stout.

While DeSantis voiced support for the boycott, Donald Trump Jr. urged conservatives to end it during a recent episode of his podcast.

“So here’s the deal. Anheuser-Busch totally sh** the bed with this Dylan Mulvaney thing. I’m not, though, for destroying… an iconic company for something like this,” he said.

However, he added Anheuser-Busch donates to Republicans and “doesn’t participate in the same leftist nonsense as the other big conglomerates.”
