  • The Afghan Ambassador's remarks seem to bear out what many have thought all along that Obama was just too cautious, too academic ("The Obama administration was the most academic administration we have ever had to deal with but the Trump administration has been thoughtful and intelligent.") Obama wouldn't even say "Islamic terriorism" which is what it is. It would appear that attacking Iraq and Obama's reticence have contributed to the growth of ISIS. Those people aren't nice so let's hope Pesident Trump will take a more realistic approach to dealing with ISIS. The Ambassador's comments seem to bear out that our POTUS will do just that!

    • Too academic to be practical about a lot of things. The point of academia is to learn through experimentation and observation. The real world requires practical application, not a continuation of academics. Having earned multiple advanced degrees, I've seen how the academic world tiptoes around anything that could be perceived as offensive. Unfortunately, this tiptoeing can inhibit actual progress, as it has in Afghanistan. I hope and pray that Mr. Trump will continue to employ a practical approach to taking on Islamic terrorism and bringing stability to Afghanistan.

    • I don't even agree with the MOST ACADEMIC statement. He is not either academic nor intelligent. Otherwise the Ambassador tells it exactly as it went down. He said exactly what we have and are still saying "why worry about anything, we will just wait until Obama pulls the troops out" since he gave the time and date of when it will happen. Trump on the other hand has said repeatedly we cannot let the enemy know what or when we will do something. We need to use the element of surprise. The other thing the journalist got wrong is that Obama did not inherit the problems in Syria. That started under his watch.

    • DK, you're absolutely correct.  Academia is a great jumping-off point; it teaches you how to think and how to analyze, but it does not teach you how to do and how to apply your knowledge to real-life situations.  Trump learned to listen, ask the right questions, and take some risks, which is how he built his many businesses and his fortune.  Sitting in a classroom your whole life teaching and hypothesizing about things you have never experienced in real life is useless for solving most problems in the real world.

  • The quality of questions Mr. Trump asks is excellent, esp. compared to Obama who didnt have a clue what to do, what to ask.  Obama, in his arrogance, just thought he'd get along by bowing and apologizing and quoting from what he'd been taught. Mr. Trump asks practical, hands-on questions so he can really help.  So happy to have Donald Trump as president.

He was and still is politically too ignorant about the ways of the world. We know he had only one objective, and that was to run the country into the ground. Though I never believed it was his idea. He was bought and paid for. It feels good to see other countries noting the differences between the two men.

I didn't agree with Clinton's or obama's policies but I never once didn't want them to WIN overseas or anywhere our soldiers were fighting and do everything needed to keep them safe. We need to stand behind our soldiers no mater who is in the WH.

I am also heartened that the Afghan Ambassador honored these Gold Star families and their sacrifices. Thank you. It means a lot to me and I have no doubt it did to them too.

  • I would like to see one change as it concerns the use of the term "radical Islam'...while indeed radicalized what we are seeing is the actual nature of Islam; 'political Islam'. Americans are being forced to confront a reality none in their comfortable complacency ever thought would happen; a confrontation of biblical proportions.

Islam is an ideology posing as a religion in alliance with Marxianity, a false religion posing as an ideology; one intent on the destruction of Judaism and the other the Christianity. Ezekiel’s Gog and Magog before your very eyes and yet you do not see.

“Society [has] a right to erase from the roll of its members anyone who rendered his own existence inconsistent with theirs? to withdraw from him the protection of their laws, and to remove him from among them by exile, or even by death if necessary."                                              Thomas Jefferson to L. • Centrist, let's think about your response for a moment. There are two ways to help the Afghan people restore security and prosperity to their country and neither is mutually exclusive they have to be done together. First securing the lives of it's people (ie get rid of the bad guys), and second building the economy to where it can flourish. To make it simpler to understand, when you go to the hospital emergency room what do your doctors do first? Slow down/stop your illness, broken bone, bleeding etc. This can be painful at first but necessary to stop your ailment from making you more sick and killing you. Then you go thru rehab. Same thing with a country, cut out the cancer (military blows up bad guys), and then learn to gain strength again to make it on your own (economy building, yes even corporation building!). See it is simple to understand hopefully even for a person such as yourself.

I'm not saying every decision was the right one, but having to make the decisions after such a crisis is tough and there was little difference in Bush's handling of 9/11 and FDR's response to Pearl Harbor. No doubt that Trump's policies are far better than Obama who is a globalist rather than an American.

Obama allowed ISIS to enrich itself by ignoring the oil tankers, which had easy access to customers,by not destroying them, giving the reason that the trucks may have had a civilian driving them. But by allowing this, it allowed ISIS to enlisi more fighters who would kill our troops.

  • Obama's foreign policy from the start telegraphed weakness, later actions and statements leeft our allies untrusting of being able to take our word or having their back and in the eyes of our enemies they saw a weak and timid leader that rather than respect out of fear of his wrath and military power at his command they were emboldened and became more aggresive in the pursuit of their objectives.

Obama's academia lounge approach to the world was as it is in academia, theories of the world that were created in the lounges and professorial gatherings of the university ivory tower set, smug and convinced of their intellectually superior understanding of the world. in other words, theories only subjected to the scrutiney of people who's view of their intelligence is so inflated, they are convinced of that the theory they built in their own minds and eventually convinced each other that their academic theory is fact, but when applied to the world beyond academia, proved to be an abject and foolish failure.

Unfortunately when the academic approach was used by an individual like Obama who is a ridgid ideological subscriber to a world view that America is an unjust and illigitamately founded nation that is responsible of most of the worlds ills. He also is a bearer of a racist chip on his shoulder and a narcissistic personality. He set about immediately to humiliate the U.S. to nock it down a few rungs as he believed it deserved, weakend and demoralized our military beings it is the instrument that the U.S. ased to steal and intimidate and oppress weaker, poorer nations of non white peoples in order to get our undeserved wealth and power. So rigid was Obama ideologically, he would  refuse to change course on any policy on anything even when that policy was glaringly apperent a failure. When that failure became so apperent that it was clear for all to see, he never took ownership of it, it was always somebody or something elses fault that his policy failed, not that his policy in and of its self was bad and that was driven a great deal by his narcisistic schism as well as his rigid ideological bent.

Obama before becoming president, had never in his life ever held a real position for any length of time in the private sector had his college paid for, pretty much was handed his Illinoi senate seat by default, pretty much the same thing with his U.S. senate seat, once there only physically occupied the position for 8 months nd began campaigning to be the democrat party candidate for president. Even in that, he was protected and created as something he was not by the media and certainly protected from being properly vetted, for if he had been, he probably would not have been the democrat candidate nor the president.

Obama became the president of a nation who's power and economic wealth were critical to keeping the insanity of the world from going full scale riot, a man who had never held a position of leadership, nor had held a position requiring the knowledge and planning of running the financis of a company muchless  nation with the largest economy in the world. Trump on the other hand, though he had never held political office, his position and experience running a multinational corporation over many decades, gave him experience in dealing and negotiating with politicians in foreign nations as well as here at home. Where Obama's narcissism made him deaf to the ideas and voices to others than his own, even in trump's extremely high ego driven pride he is not so convinced of his own superiority above those around him that he is incapable or unwilling to recognize that he does not know more than others who have spent their life's work in foreign affairs, intelligence and the military. He brings a real world working knowledge of business experience and leadership and understanding of how a large econemy works and he knows that it takes many other knowledgable people in areas of a large corporation just as in the operating of a nation,of people with different areas of expertise to advise the chief executive.

Trump as a business man sets out to succeed and he also posseses somthing Obama never had, a love and pride for this nation and an appreciation of it's traditions and an understanding of the countries history which can not be dismissed as an important attribute for the leader of any nation to have.

Middle East "wars" are wars of conquest, theft and genocide for the profit and power of the global central banks who are making a fortune; average $800 million a year from Afghanistan alone; heroin production has exploded. One Marine talked about a photo op during which US soldiers were filmed "burning poppy fields" and it was pure propaganda. They always burn the fields after the opium is harvested because it enriches the soil. Unless the American public wakes up and FACES the FACTS of Global/DC wall-to-wall corruption I have no hope at all for this country or the world. We are being stalked by the supra-predator Global Central Banking system that demands endless wars on multiple fronts [accomplished], the total power of owning/controlling virtually every bank on earth [accomplished], totally controlling their primary power base of FAKE/FIAT currency [accomplished], total enslavement of humanity through the "big con" of unpayable FAKE "debt" in FAKE currency [accomplished], destroy cultures by destroying families ["feminist ideology; not to be confused with women's rights], faith, morality, decency and confuse public with endless propaganda [accomplished], start civil war by inflaming passions; divide and conquer ... [right on track]. Aim the public at each other and make sure they do not understand the REAL game being played to destroy their lives. Also, the globalists don't think they need billions of humans on "their" planet so they are working on "soft" kills; GMO/glysophate/agent orange Frankenfoods, water poisoned with chlorine/fluoride, Big Pharma and the Medical Death Industry....  How can humanity be so gullible and ignorant? •  It comes as no surprise that the Afghanistan Ambassador's positive opinion of Trump, an opinion likely by those disfavoring Trump, his detractors. Obama, he was a POTUS whose worldview that was aligned with his and administration's playing political-correctness to its utmost. Fearing, perhaps a personal commitment to Islam, that by labelling terrorism as Islamic-Terrorism was not politically expedient or correct. This, in my opinion, was because of his personal bent to Islamism.

Now that Obama apparently is a former President, President Trump has established, he is not one to ride the PC malady, an affliction affecting other Western Democracies, political-correctness, appeasement and political shadow-boxing. Obama, Democrats, needless to say the Leftist media have done their utmost to usurp and stain President Trump's personal and Presidential reputation. Obviously, the ambassador discovered the negativity fed to him was fallacious. Others will discover that Trump is not the man whose personal reputation and Presidency has been smeared, sliced and diced by those whose agenda is solely subversive in its intent.

  • This conversation makes crystal clear what I have long suspected.  Not all Muslims are savages.  The ambassador, as with pro-American Muslims in the US, and around the world, suffer more from the savagery of their Muslim brothers than any other group.  Muslims that wish to put an end to the barbarians, who are ruining their names as Muslims, are delighted to get firm intelligent support.  President Trump will provide this.  Unlike W, he is intelligent, focused, energergetic, and has clear goals.  Unlike Obama, Trump loves the US, freedom, and sincerely wants to manage, if not defeat, radical Islamist terrorism.

One of the reasons many Americans cringe at the word "Muslim," is that Obama was NOT a lover of Islam, only a lover of radical, antisemitic, anti-American Islam.  Obama glorified the Muslim Brotherhood, the grandaddy of all terrorist organizations, and its American branches such as CAIR.  Under his administration, CAIR and their other terrorist brethren were lauded as the Islam of today, and used as role models.  He had no use for the many pro-American Muslims who have to contend with both Americans who loathe/fear Islam and their terrorist bretheren.  They have been, literally, caught between a rock and a hard place.

Islam is no more a Satanic religion than is Christianity.  But, just as in the past Christians committed the savage crimes of the Crusades, the Inquisition, and the burning of 'witches,' currently the virulent strain eminates from Islam.  Islam is just fine.  But many Muslims are NOT fine, they are barbarian savages who worship a death cult.  You either convert to their version of Islam, or are subject to torture, rape, and annihilation.

The ambassador represents the reasonable civilized Islam, and President Trump is right to become involved, in an efficatious way, with helping them expunge the savages.  As hard as Obama and his ilk have worked, and are still working, to glorify the vermin who torture, rape, and murder innocent people, President Trump represents those who want the cancer of radical Islam irradicated.  If he is successful, many of the problems in today's world will be either eliminated or managed.

  • I don't think Obama was too timid.  I think Obama was calculated.  He wanted the destruction of the region.  I loved that muslim refugees were flooding into western society, assisting in the intention of Islam to infiltrate and destroy all western culture, all non-muslim religions, and create world-wide muslim society.  Their cause could not have had a better allie than Obama - it's what he wants too.  Communists have always said they will win without a bullet fired - that America would destroy itself from within, and it's exactly what's happening.  And it's all calculated by the progressive "democrats".  Just a note:  progressives are progressing us into Communism.  There are not democrats, but rather communists on the democrat ticket.  Some are on the Republican ticket too.  Just look at the voting records of our representatives:  each of whom has taken an oath to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign or domestic.  If there are doing their job and following their oath, their voting records would be 90% or better in alignment with the Constitution.  There are only about 10 out of 250+ that are within 90%.  Hitlery was 19%, Obama 16% and Keene only 1%.  We don't need term limits, we need term accountability:  unless someone has a 90%+ alignment with the Constitution, they should not be allowed to run for office again, or to run for any other office that requires an oath to the Constitution - such as the Presidency.

  • Obama was a blame America first hyper lefty whose hatred for his own nation was a vast departure from any previous President. Then we got the "world apology tour 1.0" and that sealed it. Obama was going to pull the United States back into it's pre-Pearl Harbor status and watch the world go by. After eight years the abysmal results are plain to see. Now there is a new Sheriff in town. This one actually sorta likes the nation he serves and wants to promote it's welfare. The world just needs to consider the last eight years an aberration and Trump a return to normal. Bad news for the  Chi-comms and the Russians. Good news for every one else.

  • Clearly He's just biding his time to unleash his anti muslim bigotry on the Afghans when they least expect it.  ( Kidding of course. ) If this does not put to bed the anti-Muslim talk, nothing will.  He generally wants to help them succeed.   Good for Trump.  Good for Afghanistan.

  • Important to note: Obama ran on a platform of ending the very unpopular wars in Afghanistan and Iraq that cost our country trillions with little benefit. His early cautiousness (and subsequent increase in limited deployments, drone bombings, and financial support) were due to the unpopularity of a "boots on the ground" approach. At the time, the "America First" view was "hey, these wars are counterproductive and expensive, let's withdraw and focus on America". Even Trump was suggesting that the war was unwise within a year. Trump ran on the opposite platform this election - after years of media fear-mongering and our own leaders telling us ISIS was the number 1  danger to the US, of course Americans would feel safer seeing them disappear. Now Trump has a legitimate mandate for stronger direct action. But let's not pretend Obama was just an idiot and didn't have to walk a fine line.

  • Who the hell told the Ambassador that President Trump would not be interested in the details of the call and did not have a long attention span?  Some traitorous leftover from the Obama administration, I assume?  There's a lot more to this draining the swamp thing than you realize.
